The Legal Stuff

Terms of Service

These are the ground rules for using Toolstudio. We've tried to keep the legalese to a minimum while still covering our bases. Please read through — it's important stuff.

Last updated: February 8, 2026

The Quick Version

  • Be cool — don't create harmful, illegal, or abusive content
  • Published tools are co-owned — you earn revenue, we ensure availability
  • Creators keep 80% of profit margin from their tools
  • We can update these terms, but we'll always let you know

The agreement

By using Toolstudio (the "Service"), you're entering into a legal agreement with us. If you're using Toolstudio on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for that company.

If you don't agree with these terms, that's okay — but please don't use the Service. If something changes and you're no longer comfortable, you can delete your account at any time.

What Toolstudio is

Toolstudio is a platform where you can:

  • Build — Create AI-powered tools using our visual builder
  • Embed — Add tools to any website with a simple embed code
  • Publish — Share tools on our Explore page for others to discover
  • Earn — Make money when people use your published tools

We're always improving and adding new features. The core functionality may evolve, but we'll do our best to keep you in the loop about significant changes.

Your account

To use most of Toolstudio, you'll need an account. Here's the deal:

1.Keep it real — Provide accurate information when signing up
2.Keep it secure — Your password is your responsibility. Use a strong one.
3.Keep it yours — Don't share your account or let others use it
4.Keep us posted — Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to use Toolstudio. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Your content & tools

Unpublished tools (drafts, works in progress) are entirely yours. You can delete them at any time.

Published Tools — Shared Ownership

When you publish a tool on Toolstudio, it becomes jointly owned by you and Toolstudio. Here's what that means:

You earn while active — You receive 80% of the profit margin your tool generates while your account is active
Tools stay available — Published tools remain accessible to users who depend on them
Toolstudio can maintain — We may update, modify, or remove published tools for quality, legal, or technical reasons
Account deletion — If you delete your account, published tools become Toolstudio property and you stop earning from them

To make Toolstudio work, you also grant us a license to:

  • Host, display, and distribute your tools through our platform
  • Create backups and copies for technical purposes
  • Feature your published tools in marketing (with credit to you)

The ground rules

We want Toolstudio to be a positive place. Please don't use it to:

Create tools that generate illegal, harmful, or harassing content
Violate intellectual property rights or impersonate others
Spread malware, phishing attempts, or deceptive content
Overload our servers or try to hack the platform
Scrape data or reverse-engineer our technology
Create tools designed to manipulate or deceive users

Violating these rules can result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans. We don't make these decisions lightly, and we'll usually give a warning first for minor issues.

Money stuff

For Creators

  • You keep 80% of profit margin generated by your published tools
  • Payments are processed monthly for balances over $50
  • You're responsible for your own taxes — we'll send a 1099 if required
  • Revenue shares may change with 30 days notice

For Subscribers

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the next billing date
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — just reach out
  • We may change prices with 30 days notice

AI & third parties

Toolstudio integrates with various AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) to power the tools you create. A few things to know:

  • AI outputs can be unpredictable — review before publishing
  • We're not responsible for content generated by AI models
  • Third-party integrations are subject to their own terms
  • AI providers may change their policies — we'll adapt as needed

The boring but important part

We need to include some standard legal protections. Here's the gist:

"As Is" Service

Toolstudio is provided "as is." We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or that everything will always work perfectly.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Indemnification

If your use of Toolstudio causes legal trouble for us (like if you violate someone's rights), you agree to cover our costs.

Ending things

You can delete your account anytime from your settings. Here's what happens:

For Creators

  • Published tools remain live on the platform — they become Toolstudio property to ensure users aren't left without tools they rely on
  • Earnings stop — Once your account is deleted, you no longer receive revenue from your published tools
  • Unpublished content (drafts, rejected tools) is permanently deleted

For Brands/Organizations

  • All organization data including tools, websites, and usage history is permanently deleted

Personal data will be removed within 30 days (some backups may take a bit longer to clear).

We can also terminate accounts that violate these terms. For serious violations, we might do this immediately. For minor issues, we'll usually give you a heads up and a chance to fix things.

Changes to terms

We might update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. For major changes, we'll email you or show a notice in the app. Continuing to use Toolstudio after changes means you accept the new terms.

Legal jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Any disputes will be handled in Delaware courts. We know this is standard stuff, but we had to mention it.

Got questions?

Legal docs are confusing. If something doesn't make sense, just ask.
